Slow Motion Video: How Dogs Drink

I had never really given it much thought, but I’ve always assumed that when a dog drinks it curls it’s tongue forward to scoop up the water. Apparently, dogs actually curl their tongue backwards (towards their body) to bring the water into their mouths. Who knew?

The Stolen Scream

The Stolen Scream: A Story About Noam Galai from FStoppers on Vimeo.

Very interesting story of how some images were repeatedly stolen from Flickr and used in a wide variety of ways over several years. Unfortunately this kind of thing seems all too common in todays world where many people seem to think that everything on the internet is free to take and do whatever they want with it.

About two years after publishing photos of myself screaming on the Flickr, I discovered that my face was ‘for sale’ in several stores around the world, as well as on the Web and spotted it in places like Spain, Iran, Mexico, England and many other places. When I realized that its not a one-time-thing and my face is being used in so many places i decided to start collecting images/videos of all my ‘appearances’.

Stream your iTunes music and videos to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

One of the big new features in iOS 4.3 is the ability to use Home Sharing to stream content from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch over a Wi-Fi network.

It’s a cool feature, but the process to set it up is not terribly intuitive. I was actually going to write up a little tutorial, but Macworld beat me to it. Check out their tutorial, here.

Sucker Punch

Sucker Punch opens March 25th. I can’t wait!

Sucker Punch is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, and her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary. She has been locked away against her will, but Babydoll (Emily Browning) has not lost her will to survive. Determined to fight for her freedom, she urges four other young girls–the outspoken Rocket (Jena Malone), the street-smart Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens), the fiercely loyal Amber (Jamie Chung) and the reluctant Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish)–to band together and try to escape their terrible fate at the hands of their captors, Blue (Oscar Isaac), Madam Gorski (Carla Gugino) and the High Roller (Jon Hamm). Led by Babydoll, the girls engage in fantastical warfare against everything from samurais to serpents, with a virtual arsenal at their disposal. Together, they must decide what they are willing to sacrifice in order to stay alive. But with the help of a Wise Man (Scott Glenn), their unbelievable journey–if they succeed–will set them free.
