In Illinois (except Chicago & some other Cities that add their own taxes)the State sales tax is 6.5%. You will find that at MCDonalds and other Fast Food places, Convienence stores, etc., the majority of their electronic cash registers do not reflect the 6.5% and instead, the electronic cash register is programed to "round it off" to 7%. Another half cent profit per sale collected and kept by them. Some older electronic cash registers will actually figure the 6.5% tax but they are being replaced. As you can see by these posts, not too many of the public question "EAT IN" or "TAKE OUT" Tax. This all started back when "pocket calulator" use was allowed in the schools and our children were no longer taught to do math in their head or on paper. Ever notice how many of your friends calculate a waitress tip now on a small calculator in their cell phones because they are unable to figure 10% or 15% in their head?

Typical Microsoft, overlook reality in favor of a cute idea.

Also typical Microsoft: Send them to do one thing and they'll do ten others instead.

Uhh, the ZUNE commercial, guys? What do you mean your budget is gone??

Yes, I was very disappointed when I found out that the '08 version was so limited in its functions, but thanks for the tip - I just downloaded the HD06 version b/c I was impressed with it and want to use it to create a wedding video. I don't know why they discontinued this application, it was so good! I guess they can make more money selling Final Cut Pro.

Art, Do you have it set to only show in the dock when mail is running? When mail is running the icon should always be in the dock. If you quit mail and the icon disappears from the dock than you can do 1 of 2 things.

1. When mail is not running, drag it from the Applications folder into the dock.

2. When mail is running, right-click on its dock icon and select "Keep in Dock" from the pop-up menu.

You should only have to do either of these once. After that it will stay the same. This works with any application.

I just got my first desktop, an Apple OS 10.25. My stamp icon keeps disappearing from the dock and I don't know how to get it back. Sometimes, by banging around randomally on the keys, it will reappear, but not always. Any ideas?

You forgot Unicode support which for many, many developers isn't "minor", but then you would have had to mention that the new text engine is very buggy too.

I have made my first own Sprout and it was pretty nice and easy to do. I think its very handy to link with it over the internet because it has a link option in it with html code. I use images, music and video's at the moment.
I think its great that you always can update it where ever its linked.
You can find my sprout at my website.

That's absolutely horrifying. I used H&R block Online (and will never use again after reading this) this year. So many companies just don't appreciate how important security is and refuse to respond to requests like this--this kind of carelessness leads to situations like the recent Hannaford security breach or the one at Harvard.

Phone service people aren't trained to deal with that sort of thing and really can't appreciate the importance of it. I'm surprised the management couldn't get you through to some specific tech people--or I guess "wouldn't" is the more appropriate word. They aren't trained to care, either, I suppose.

People trust companies like H&R Block because they find comfort in the familiarity of the name brand--it makes them feel safe. When something like this comes up, it's REALLY damaging, not only as a result of lawsuits, but it will drive away a lot of business once it gets out that somebody has exploited it.

They'll learn one day. The hard way. I just hope my credit information isn't bittorrented around the country beforehand.

agree with that user that a year ago the service was much better with MT.

A month ago we discover something horrible. User quota email limit does not work. It has never work. You try to limit the size of email accounts, etc etc, but it doesn't matter.
I asked them to take that funcionality out then from the control panel but they're looking at "the clouds" or something really disgusting.
We host many sites inside our grid account and if somebody starts uploading millions of Mb, we are dead !!!!

what's going on with MT???
