Microsoft sets email back 5 years

html email in outlook

Apparently, Microsoft has announced that Outlook 2007 will no longer use Internet Explorer as it’s html rendering engine… it will use Word. Unfortunately, the only Microsoft product worse at displaying html than Internet Explorer, is Word.

This is a big set back for anyone who sends out html email, like newsletters and such. The example above is the same email displayed in both Outlook 2000, and 2007. There’s an obvious difference, don’t you think?
