Little Miss Sunshine

5 Stars

Tonight we saw Little Miss Sunshine. It was awesome! I laughed out loud.

The film started out a little slow, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it. As the story progressed, it got funnier and funnier, and the characters became very ‘real’ for me. I actually cared what happened to these people. Performances by the entire cast were right on, they all did a great job.

I highly recommend this one!

I’m really picky about films and this actually was original and humorous…smart and well acted. Unique. A few people I saw it with said it might be one of the best movies of the year. I completely agree with them. At first it seemed like the movie wasn’t going to be funny at all…I mean can a mute and a suicidal man make a comedy? Yes they can!

I just got back from 3 week holiday going round California. While we were over there we went to see Little Miss Sunshine in San Fran and we all thought it was hilarious! I was in tears myself. I will be recommending it to all my friends for sure.

I work at a movie theater, and all we got was the stinking poster [ :0) ]. Though I would love to see this film

what year does the story take place? Today or like the 70′s? Just judging by the little girls clothes and their vehicle.

“…what year does the story take place?…”

Funny you should ask that. For most of the movie it’s actuallly hard to tell what year it is. It wasn’t unil there was a scene with Bush on TV that I realized it’s set in this year.

Very interesting.I wiil go to the shop and buy a film right now!
By the way I’m interested about the work of actors in this film or the main interest in the story??

Restored my faith in the feel-good movie. I think it’s the breadth of character types that makes this one a winner for most any viewer. I don’t know who you are that you don’t see yourself in this movie and view the characters’ experiences in relation to someone close to you.

I don’t think this was necessarily a “feel good” movie. It was more complex than that. I like how they each had to go for their own reasons. It was funny to also see that Frank, who definitely had issues, was the voice of reason for the family. The cast was awesome from Arkin all the way down to Breslin.

As far as this movies future: it looks like it is opening it wide release tomorrow.

In regards to the time period. Kinnear has a cellphone, but aside from that there is a “bucket of chicken” big headphones and clothes that do not easily identify with the times. It probably was a purposeful way of showing how this family might be out of balance with society in general.
