Microsoft discontinues support for Win 98 - XP (sp1)
6.9.2006 – 10:38 am | by paulI don’t often write about Windows, but I thought this was worth a mention. On July 11, 2006, Microsoft will discontinue support for Windows 98, 98SE, and ME. Also, on October 10th, 2006, they will stop supporting Windows XP Service Pack 1.
Microsoft warns that after those dates, no more security updates will be available for those operating systems… and you are at risk (even more than normal that is)!
