17 inch MacBook Pro

As expected, Apple introduced the new 17″ MacBook Pro today at NAB (National Association of Broadcasters). It has some pretty impressive specs right out of the box, like… 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo processor, 1680 x 1050 resolution, 1GB (single SODIMM) 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 8x double-layer SuperDrive, and a 120GB 5400-rpm Serial ATA hard drive.

The new 17″ MacBook Pro is available today at the Apple Store. Shipping is listed as 7-10 business days.

I have to say I’m a little annoyed that a smaller MacBook Pro hasn’t come out yet. I’ve never owned a mac before and to be truthful I never really liked them in the past (and not because I’m a M$ Windows fan!). However, I have changed my ways and I can’t wait to get one! A smaller model would suit my needs perfectly and I think they look sexier as well.

Be patient… I’m sure the 12″ is right around the corner.

I’m just excited they didn’t update my 15″ MacBook Pro… I’m still cutting edge!
