The Simpsons Movie?

It looks like the creators of the Simpsons have finally bowed to the hollywood money machine. That’s right… The Simpsons Movie will be out on July, 27th, 2007.
I’m a huge fan of the show… actually, I think it’s the greatest show ever made. So, I’m not sure how I feel about the move to the big screen.
Apple has the teaser trailer on their site.

I’m very … iffy … on this. I don’t understand what they can possibly due in a theatrical setting that will be different after all they’ve accomplished on the small screen. I don’t see this as anything more than an extended episode, which is cause for concern considering it will probably cost many many millions more to make.
Well, for us (the viewers), I can’t really see the harm of a movie…. As Tim says, it’ll probably feel as little more tan a prolonged episode; though I doesn’t really see how that could be a bad thing…
Take Family Guy: The movie, for instance…
