Samorost: Freakin Awesome!

A friend sent me a link to this site. I didn’t really have time to check it out at the time, but I did this morning. Holy crap! It’s awesome! It’s a free online ‘game’ called Samorost.

Although I refer to Samorost as a game, don’t get the wrong idea. It’s not a shoot-em up type game, it’s more along the lines of Myst. You travel from environment to environment, trying to determine what you are supposed to do, to get to the next place. It’s very cool!

Samorost was developed by Amanita Design. They did a really awesome job, a great attention to detail. They have a couple of other games as well. I can’t wait to check them out.

If you like Samorost, you’ll be happy to know that Amanita is currently working on a sequel, but it’s a couple of months away. In the mean time you can help support these guys by buying one of their cool Samorost t-Shits.
