Give me all your fries

On Saturday, we took a drive across the bay to Marin. On our way out we stopped at a Jack in the Box on 11th Ave. and Geary. They had this bizarre security pass-through. I’ve never seen anything like it at a fast food restaurant. It was made of 1.5 inch Plexiglas, had a locking door on each side, and could hold one tray. Has anyone else seen these?

  1. Wave of the future. Could this be the new way of fast food delivery that we should expect in years to come…..lol

  5. I have seen these in a KFC in Inkster Michigan. I went inside to get my food and the entire counter was enclosed in bulletproof glass with these turntables to transfer the food from their side to mine. This was in 1994 so they have been around for quite a while. I believe it was just a high crime area although I have not seen one since.
