Mytan, the intelligent sunscreen dispenser

“Several years of hardcore blogging have left us deathly afraid of going outside and exposing ourselves to natural light, but if we were to venture outdoors we’d be sure to apply sunscreen in the most gadgety way possible, preferably using Ed Phillips’ new mytan intelligent sunscreen dispenser. It’s still just a concept device (for now), but the idea is that you punch in your skin color, hair color, eye color, number of freckles (which might be, uh, hard for some people to conclusively count), color of skin when tanned and how long you’re planning to be outside and the mytan takes that info, along with a reading of the sun’s intensity courtesy of a built-in UV sensor to figure out exactly what SPF you need to be safe.”
