Adobe withdraws, refiles Macromedia antitrust papers

By | June 8, 2005

“Adobe has voluntarily agreed to withdraw and refile papers for its proposed acquisition of Macromedia in an effort to give the U.S. Justice Department additional time to evaluate the deal, reports Reuters. “The pre-merger notification and report form was filed under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976.” Adobe continues to believe that the acquisition will go through this fall.”
