Safari 1.3 javascript bug

Wednesday, April 20th, 2005

Along with the 10.3.9 update issued the other day came Safari 1.3 (v312). It appears to have a little bug when dealing with javascript. If you have your site open a small browser window via the “window.open” command, and the window size is supposed to be the exact size of the media you are displaying, than Safari opens the window just a few pixels smaller than specified triggering both horizontal and vertical scrollbars. How annoying! If you build your site in Dreamweaver you will have this problem, but GoLive writes this code differently and seems unaffected. Other browsers don’t seem to have this problem.
