Online User Counter

The other day I added an online user counter to the menu on the right side of the page. It displays how many people are viewing this site right now. I think it’s kind of cool to see how many others are here. But, I may have to drop it. The script is pulling info from the Nerds on Site server (the script providers), and it seems really slow to access. I like the counter, but it’s not worth slowing down my site. I’ll probably try it for a few days and see what happens.

Update (4.12.05): I removed the user counter. It was a cool idea, and sometimes it worked fine, but too often it slowed my site way down.
