By | January 11, 2005

Bare Bones Software on Tuesday announced that TextWrangler 2.0 is now shipping. This update to the company’s general purpose text editor features syntax coloring, a documents drawer, a navigation bar, SFTP support, the ability to apply BBEdit 8 Text Factories and more. In addition, the new Shebang menu offers several Unix shell scripting features for Perl, Python or Unix scripts and filters, including syntax checking. Scripts can be executed in TextWrangler or in a Terminal window. Best of all, it’s now FREE!
